Pray Like a Wild Woman

I stood eye to eye with my best friend at the end of the conference. Β We spoke life over each other and committed to keep fighting the good fight together.

I honestly don’t remember much from that day, but this one moment keeps replaying in my mind.

Beth Moore speaks, and we repeat in unison.

Only one phrase from the entire commissioning echoes in my heart.

Pray like a wild woman.

Wild. Untamed. Unrestrained. Uninhibited.

Pray fierce.

Pray without fetters.

Cry out like a savage beast raving through the wilderness.

Face the unknown with outrageous faith that believes God will show up and make some noise.

Pray like a wild woman.

I turn on the news and see disorder, distress, and death, but that does not deter me. I turn to prayer. I dare to believe that God will respond with His presence, His provision, and His peace.

I see healing and hope where others see despair.

I speak love and life where most are overcome with doubt.

I feel the power of the Spirit at work in the desert places. Restoration is certain. Redemption is near.

In a world gone mad, persevere and pray like a wild woman.Β God’s Word is never caged, and neither are you.

  1. Love this! It is so bold. Sometimes as women we can feel like we need to be reserved in all we do. So yes, let’s be wild for Jesus! Joining you from Lori Schumaker today!

  2. Prayer is definitely one of my passions. I love this phrase “Pray like a wild woman”. For some reason, when I think of this I picture a momma lion defending her babies. Love the passion here, Lyli! Honestly, I’ve been slacking in this area and this was just the motivation I needed to rise up!

  3. Oh So good!! I’ve been pacing my floors for a long while believing God for big things. And He is answering, sometimes not the way I imagined, but He is a big God who can do crazy big things!
    Great post!!

  4. Praying big and wild with you!!!!! I believe there is a season in my life soon to come where some of the other extras will be moved away to give me more time to simply pray … big … will. unfettered prayers!

    Blessings and smiles, my friend!
    Lori

  5. Just started the Moving Mountains book by John Eldredge last night– a call to the same theme of learning how to pray powerfully and wild– because prayer is a learning process after all. I love this “praying wild”… β™₯ Thanks for the invite Lyli. Honored as always to be your neighbor on Miss Holley’s link up. xo

  6. YES…YES!!!! Praying BIG is just what we need to be doing and must be doing, Lyli. I totally agree. If people cannot agree on much these day, we can agree that this nation, this world, each and every person needs prayer. I may not think I am “mad” but I will pray like one!! Thanks for your encouraging words.

  7. Imagine what would happen if we all began praying like wild women! πŸ™‚ Thanks for the reminder that we should not put God in a neat, tidy, sensible little box. He’s a huge God and He can handle our wild prayers! Stopping by from #FreshMarketFriday

  8. My Spirit jumped for joy when I saw the graphics on this post and then as I began reading, I had to pause to thank God for your post. Yes, where others see disaster prayer warriors see an opportunity to call forth God’s love and healing power.
